Grateful Set Crew transforms production labor into a reliable, professional service trusted by the live events industry. We operate across Miami, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New York City — with national expansion underway. When a client books GSC, they expect more than bodies. They expect professionals.

Our 5 Core Values:

  • Safety First — No show, no schedule, no client pressure overrides the safety of our crew or the public. Stop-work authority is yours at all times.
  • Operational Excellence — Show up uniformed, equipped, on time, and ready. Every time. Without exception.
  • Reliability — When GSC commits to a call, the client counts on it. Your reliability is GSC's reputation — and your income stream.
  • Transparency — Clear pay, clear rules, clear expectations. No hidden fees. No surprises. Everything is in this document and the app.
  • Growth Mindset — Every gig is an opportunity to level up. Pay bonuses, certifications, and leadership roles are earned — not given.
GSC carries $2 Million General Liability Insurance on all active engagements. You are covered while working any GSC-dispatched gig.

All GSC crew are assigned a position number at check-in. The app uses these numbers for dispatch, communication, and gig coordination. Know every role.

01
Stage Manager / Lead Crew
On-site authority. All crew report to Position 01. Client communication routes exclusively through 01. Final call on all decisions.
02
Assistant Stage Manager
Supports Lead. Handles crew check-in, call sheet, and briefings. Takes over full Lead duties if Position 01 is unavailable.
03
Head Rigger
Oversees all overhead load work. ETCP or equivalent rigging certification required. No chain movement begins without explicit 03 authorization.
04
Lighting Director / Board Op
Controls all lighting consoles and dimmer racks. Coordinates with 01 on cue sheets. Manages L1, L2, and follow spot positions.
05
Audio A1 — Front of House
Primary FOH mix engineer. Manages PA system, subwoofers, signal chain, and broadcast feeds. Coordinates show flow with 01.
06
Audio A2 — Stage Monitor
Stage monitors, in-ear systems, and all stage-level audio patching. Works under Position 05 direction.
07
Video / LED Tech
Operates video walls, media servers, switchers, and projection systems. Coordinates with 04 on show flow and transitions.
08
Head Grip / General Labor Lead
Manages all stage hands on the ground. Calls load-in sequence, set dressing assignments, and strike order. Reports to 01.
09
Rigger — Overhead
Works under Position 03. Certified riggers only. Hard hat mandatory at all times in rigging zones. No uncertified personnel.
10
Stage Hand — Load In / Out
General labor. Reports to Position 08. Loading, unloading, stacking, spotting, building sets, and striking. Must GPS clock-in.
11
Stage Hand — Set Dressing
Props, furniture, backdrops, signage, and set elements. Works with client event designer or 08. Attention to detail required.
12
Cable Tech / Coil & Lay
All cable runs, drops, coils, labeling, and taping. Responsible for a clean, safe, trip-hazard-free stage floor at all times.
13
Spotlight Operator
Operates follow spot as directed by 01 or 04 via headset. Must maintain headset contact throughout entire show call.
14
Forklift / Scissor Lift Operator
Certified operators only — OSHA-compliant certification required. Active spotters required at all times during any lift operation.
15
Runner / Production Assistant
Assists all departments as needed. First to arrive, last to leave. Drives, fetches, fills gaps, and supports wherever needed.
🔴 = Zero tolerance / immediate consequences  |  🟠 = Strike-level violation  |  🔵 = Operational standard
🔴
R-01 — Report to your assigned position first. Do not free-roam the venue. Check in with Lead (01 or 02) and receive your task assignment before touching any equipment.
🟠
R-02 — Keep your area clean and clear at all times. Cables coiled, cases stacked and labeled, all pathways unobstructed. A messy set is a dangerous set and reflects on every crew member.
🔴
R-03 — Never move equipment not assigned to you. Do not handle, adjust, or relocate any production gear, artist equipment, or rental cases without explicit Lead instruction.
🟠
R-04 — Headsets and radios are for work communication only. Keep all radio communications brief, professional, and relevant to the gig. No personal chatter on headset.
🔴
R-05 — Backstage and dressing rooms are off-limits unless explicitly assigned. Do not approach artists, performers, or VIP guests under any circumstances without direct authorization from 01.
🔵
R-06 — GPS clock-in required within 10 minutes of call time via the GSC app. If the app fails to load, notify your Lead immediately and use manual backup check-in.
🟠
R-07 — Load-in sequence is called by the Stage Manager. Do not begin loading or unloading any vehicle or case until the sequence is formally called by Position 01 or 08.
🔴
R-08 — Hard hats are mandatory in all active rigging zones. If Position 03 has not called the all-clear, no crew member stands under any suspended load — no exceptions, no arguments.
🔵
R-09 — Breaks are called by the Lead, not self-assigned. Do not leave your assigned work zone without being formally released by your Lead or the Stage Manager.
🟠
R-10 — Verify power status before handling any electrical connections. Call out "CLEAR" before energizing any circuit. Do not assume — always verify with the crew around you.
🔴
R-11 — No uncertified equipment operation. Forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift are certified operators only. Operating without certification = immediate termination, no appeal.
🔵
R-12 — Strike sequence is the reverse of load-in. Coil first, break down equipment, case it, label it, then load. Never load a truck before all items are cased and labeled.
🟠
R-13 — Document all pre-existing damage at load-in. Photograph it and report to your Lead before handling. This protects you from liability claims after the event.
🔴
R-14 — In any emergency — fire, medical event, structural failure — activate stop-work authority immediately. Call 911, notify 01, clear the zone. GSC will never penalize a safety stop.
🟠
R-15 — Zero drugs or alcohol on any job site. Zero tolerance. If any crew member is impaired, you are obligated to report it to 01. Failure to report makes you equally liable.

🔴
U-01 — Uniform check happens at crew call — before the client ever sees you. Lead inspects every crew member. Fail = sent home unpaid, no exceptions, no warnings given in the field.
🟠
U-02 — The GSC polo must be tucked in neatly during all client-facing events. Untucked is acceptable on load-in/strike-only calls unless the Lead instructs otherwise.
🔵
U-03 — GSC issues your polo and tool pouch at onboarding — $45 deducted from your first paycheck. You are responsible for your own black work pants and steel-toe boots.
🟠
U-04 — Your GSC ID badge is your site credential. Report any loss within 24 hours. Replacement fee: $15. Without a badge, venue security may deny you entry — your problem, not GSC's.
🔵
U-05 — Outdoor/cold weather: a plain black rain jacket or fleece worn over the polo is acceptable. No competing logos. Clear it with your Lead before putting it on.
🔴
U-06 — You represent the GSC brand at all times. Dress like the professional you are being paid to be. Negative appearance comments from clients reflect on the entire crew network — and your rating.

GSC uses a transparent 3-strike system. Strikes reset after 90 days of clean performance. All strikes are permanently visible in your crew profile and affect your dispatch priority.

🔵
C-01 — Chain of command: GSC Dispatch → Stage Manager (01) → Assistant SM (02) → Department Lead → Crew. Always communicate up the chain. Do not skip positions without explicit authorization.
🟠
C-02 — Issues go to your Lead — not social media, not to other crew publicly, not to the client directly. On-site concerns get resolved on-site through proper chain of command.
🔴
C-03 — Pay and hour disputes must be submitted to gratefulsetcrew@gmail.com within 48 hours of gig completion. After 48 hours, disputes may not be honored. Document everything at the time.
🔵
C-04 — Radio protocol: state your position number first. Example: "Position 10 to Position 08 — truck 3 is empty, awaiting direction. Over." Keep it short, professional, and clear.
🟠
C-05 — No press or media interaction. Do not give interviews or speak to any media, journalist, or photographer on any job site. Refer all media inquiries to Position 01 immediately.
