Fill out the online application with your personal info, work history, and skills. Upload your government ID, Social Security card, and any certifications you have.

Background Check & Verification

We run a background check and verify your ID documents. You'll receive an email update within 2–3 business days. Clean record required for approval.

Complete GSC Orientation

Watch the required orientation training, review the complete GSC Rulebook covering all stage rules and uniform guidelines, and pass the final quiz. No quiz, no gigs.

Required before any gig

Sign Your 1099 Agreement

Review and e-sign your Independent Contractor Agreement (1099). All GSC crew work as independent contractors — you control your own schedule and work for others.

1099 only — no W-2

Receive Uniform & Get App Access

Your GSC polo and tool pouch will be shipped or picked up locally. Your portal access is activated and you'll download the GSC Crew App to see available gigs.

Government-issued photo ID (driver's license or passport)
Social Security card (for 1099 tax filing)
Smartphone (iOS or Android) to use the GSC app
Clean background check (no violent crimes)
OSHA-10/30 certified (optional — unlocks higher pay tiers)
Black work pants + steel-toe boots (your responsibility)
Reliability — you must be able to show up on time, every time

Common Questions

Am I an employee or independent contractor?

You are a 1099 independent contractor. GSC does not withhold taxes. You receive a 1099-NEC at year-end and file your own taxes. You are free to work for other companies.

When and how do I get paid?

Pay is processed every Friday via direct deposit to your bank account or Zelle. The 4-hour minimum means every gig pays at least 4 hours at your rate.

Do I need my own tools?

GSC provides a tool pouch with the "Mandatory 10" essentials (sponsored by DeWalt/Milwaukee). A small cost is deducted from your first paycheck. You provide your own boots and work pants.

How do gig notifications work?

The AI dispatch system sends you a push notification, SMS, and email when a gig matching your skills and location becomes available. You accept or decline in the app.

What if I get a bad review or rating?

Your rating average must stay above 4.0 to remain active. Ratings below 4.0 for 3 consecutive gigs will result in a performance review. Ratings of 4.5+ unlock a $2/hr bonus.

Can I work in multiple cities?

Yes. GSC operates in Miami, Atlanta, LA, and NYC. If you're willing to travel, you can accept gigs in any market where you're approved.

What is the emergency dispatch surcharge?

Emergency gigs (under 4 hours notice) pay 1.5× your normal rate. You will receive a special alert. First qualified crew member to accept wins the gig.
